Malware named Cosiloon is found in several brands of mobile phones namely ZTE, Archos, and MyPhone. In addition to downloading applications without permission, the malware also interfere with the convenience of displaying ads suddenly on the user's phone.

Avast also claims that the malicious malware that exists on this cheap Android phone has been around for at least the last three years and users will have trouble removing it because it is at the firmware level. This virus was reportedly already infected and spread in more than 90 countries in the world. Some of the countries included are Russia, Germany, and the Netherlands. Avast also said the malware is installed on as many as over 18,000 devices.

Google has also reported this malware to developers and Google requires each device to have the latest version of Google Play Protect.
